Specializing in:
Coaching riders who are interested in learning more about dressage and jumping for recreation or competition to get to the next level.
Lessons are planned and structured to assist riders in safely improving their equitation and to introduce the training scale through gymnastic movements for their horses.
Mission statement:
To develop independent, thoughtful riders on healthy, happy, correctly trained horses, which is most rewarding to me. The equestrian industry in Renfrew County has plenty of room to grow, and I want to participate by helping to connect the community and by providing a high quality facility.
Let's share our love and admiration for the horse!

Silver Tree Stables in Pembroke was established in June 2013 when John & Shannon Becvar moved their farm after 9 wonderful years developing an equestrian facility in Timmins, Ontario (see slide show below). The Pembroke property is just under 40 acres with mixed fields, mature forest, trails and abundant wildlife. The 70X200' sand ring features lights, jumps, cavaletti and excellent drainage.
The 60X120' indoor arena was built in 2015 and features laser-levelled, dust-free footing and 56' of mirrors.
The stable has six 10X12' box stalls finished by System Fencing, Nelson automatic waterers and a
heated tack room with custom lockers.

Shannon grew up in Eastern Ontario and took her first riding lesson at age 9. By the time she was a teenager she was participating in Pony Club, competing and learning with school horses in Eventing, Show Jumping and Dressage throughout Ontario and western Quebec. In 2008, after some years of teaching, she completed the Equestrian Canada English Competition Coach Certification. Equestrian Canada's challenging program demands Emergency Action Planning, First Aid Training and appropriate insurance for our client's safety and peace of mind.
As a veteran competitor and judge of several successful dressage and hunter/jumper schooling shows in Ottawa, Perth, Kingston, North Augusta, Pembroke, Cobden, Timmins, Porquis, North Bay and New Liskeard, Shannon understands the importance of running a safe and efficient event.

Testimonials From Satisfied Customers:
From 2004 to 2013 we lived on a beautiful farm in Timmins, Ontario.
Here is a short video of what we were up to while up North:
“Equestrian art, perhaps more than any other, is closely related to the wisdom of life…the horse teaches us self-control, constancy, and the ability to understand what goes on in the mind and the feelings of another creature, qualities that are important throughout our lives.”
